The Washington DC Metro Area Chapters of ARMA International invite you to participate in an exciting Spring event for the Federal Records and Information Management community in May 2024. The plan is to attract ARMA members and RIM professionals from across the DMV back to an in-person event. They will be presenting timely and informative programs of interest to all who work for or with the Federal government, including speaker panels comprised of NARA leaders, Agency Records Officers, industry experts, and RIM practitioners. Highlights include the NARA directive’s post-June 30 environment and how artificial intelligence (AI) is revolutionizing the field as records and data are becoming one and the same.
They are planning on making this seminar FREE OF CHARGE to ensure that more people can take advantage of this great event! Coffee, snacks, and a box lunch will be offered. The event will be eligible for ICRM and other credits.

A near 50-year partnership between Washington Performing Arts and D.C. Public Schools, the Embassy Adoption Program (EAP) annually connects thousands of fifth- and sixth-grade students in schools in all D.C. wards with more than 50 embassies and other diplomatic entities including consular offices, government offices, representative offices, and others. Diplomats visit the schools to give students a personalized understanding of their nation’s positions on various world issues, and diplomats and teachers design individualized curricula based on the culture of the country or region, available resources, D.C. Public School curriculum standards, and needs of the students. Washington Performing Arts Women’s Committee members and members of the community serve as classroom volunteers to support the teachers and diplomats throughout the year.
