Despite the chillier than normal springtime weather, hundreds of revelers dressed up in their best pink attire descended upon the Atrium and Ballroom of Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center to welcome the season of cherry blossoms at this year’s Pink Tie Party. Hosted by TCMA (A Drew Company), the National Cherry Blossom Festival’s 12th annual signature fundraiser drew in crowds of DC’s trendsetters, influencers and tastemakers for an evening to celebrate the start of spring while also raising funds to support the Festival’s award-winning programming.

This year’s event took the entertainment experience to a new level with performances from DC-based duo NUEX, a high energy live painting session by artist Simon Bull, a taiko drumming performance from Nen Daiko, a flight simulation from ANA, and blackjack and roulette gaming experiences. Guests enjoyed a variety of spring-inspired bites with a Japanese twist from TCMA’s own culinary team including yakitori skewers, stuffed shitake mushroom with chicken, spicy peanut soba noodles, and a matcha-themed dessert station. Top DC-area restaurants such as Siren, Restaurant Eve, Ocean Prime, and Taberna del Alabardeo also served up tastings throughout the evening.

As in years past, fashion was at the forefront of this beloved springtime event and guests did not disappoint this year – encouraged to pose for a Fashion Face-off upon arrival, attendees were photographed on the pink carpet showing off their rosy-hued attire which included boas, sequins, tulle, and everything in between. This was the Reagan Building’s fifth year as host venue for Pink Tie Party – the National Cherry Blossom Festival continues through April 15. For a complete schedule of events, please click here.
