The theme of the afternoon is the momentous year of 1919 and the events leading up to it, focused on the Great War and Women’s Suffrage. Our guest speakers are familiar young faces in the DC history, museum, and tourism communities. Using material from their recently published books they will present illustrated lectures featuring local sites, people, events, and details that guides can use in their commentaries.
